Heron in the garden this morning

This morning we saw a Heron in the garden. I couldn't work out what he had in his mouth, but it looks like mud and a leaf.

Mouse Cam

We put a camera out in a small tube with an entrance hole of 2 cm across hoping to film mice.

This is what we got

It was a bit of a squeeze for him to get out.

Tomorrow we are going to make the hole smaller

Busy foxes den

While the camera was aimed at the foxes den it also picked up a few other animals.
We put the camera down before it got dark and my Dad picked it up at 6.30 this morning

A Badger was very close to the foxes den.

This rat was looking for food

It looks like these mice have a hole in the bottom of the tree because if you look closely you can see one jump and disappear.

Foxes den found

Over the last couple of weeks we have seen and smelt a fox in the field.
We have been looking for it's den, yesterday we finally found it.
Last night we put out the trail camera and this is what we caught on camera.
